Benefits of Cooking with a Kamado

Use the Kamado anytime, any season at any outside temperature. The insulating characteristics of ceramics keeps the heat in and the weather out.

Searing steaks and chops is a snap with the California Kamado. The Maillard reaction or caramelization, is created when heating the sugars and amino acids that are present in meat. The Maillard reaction occurs when exposed to temperatures 310º and above.

This gives steaks and chops that wonderful crusty surface that gives it that great, grilled flavor. Without this caramelization a steak just isn't right.

Temperature control is a snap with the easily adjustable top and bottom dampers and temperature control is accurate to within 3-6 degrees. The gauge gives you precise temperature readings of the cooker's internal temperature from 100° to over 750°.

The Kamado was the first self cleaning oven. Any time after you're done with your cooking, raise the temperature up to 750° and the internal heat will self clean the Kamado.
